  • CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CF-L2)
  • USAW Level 2 Weightlifting Coach

I’m originally from San Antonio, Texas and lived there until I joined the Army in 1991.  The military was the beginning of my aviation career where I spent most of my years working on UH-1 Hueys and UH-60 Black Hawks.  After leaving the military I spent a few years doing contract work up until 9/11.  After September 11th I had a greater desire to work on specialized career projects, it was then that I moved my goals to Arizona State and Federal work.  It was during my transition into Federal work where I found my deeper desire to focus on physical fitness.
I spent countless years struggling with my own programing at run of the mill gyms.   Trying to think of “would today be back and bi day or should it be a leg day” was so tedious.  It was in 2013 when I was introduced to Crossfit through an old Air Force buddy… and I never looked back.  In 2018 I decide to take my passion for Crossfit to the next level and became a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer.  It was at Iron Grip Crossfit that I was given the opportunity to coach and really explore my passion for instructing.
While my ultimate goal is to help every athlete reach his or her goals, my deeper drive is to ensure every athlete reaches those goals in the safest way possible.  I don’t just want to get you to your goals but to guide you through technique, form, and the confident mind set to make Crossfit as much of a passion for you as it is for me.
