The strict overhead press is an unparalleled indicator of upper body pushing strength. While the bench press is an excellent exercise and rightly has its place in our repertoire, the overhead press actually involves the whole body in a way that the bench press cannot.
While many call it the “shoulder press,” there is in fact only one “press” movement that DOESN’T directly involve the shoulders. Can you think of which one it is?
