There are differing opinions as to which bar position people should use for the back squat. Each has its merits and specific purpose. Whichever variation serves your purpose is the style we encourage you to use.


A: Warm-up (No Measure)

12-8-4 reps each of:

Med ball cleans

Pistol squats

Kettlebell clean & jerk

B: Warm-up (No Measure)

Work up to 75% 1RM for back squat


Back Squat (7-7-5-5-3-3-1-1)

7-7 @ 75% 1RM

5-5 @ 80%

3-3 @ 85%

1-1 @ 90%
